KOLKATA: After a grand success of 'Expression 2017', St. Lawrence High School (SLHS), Kolkata, India, in association with their alumni St. Lawrence Old Boys' Association (SLOBA) are organizing an international Drawing and Painting competition 'Expression 2018' tomorrow to celebrate Olympic Day and promote Olympic values and peace among school children. Theme this year is 'Olympic Games and Youth' as the world will be coming together for 3rd Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, Argentina in October this year.
FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OLYMPIC HISTORY, OLYMPIANS WHO ARE ALSO ARTISTS WERE INVITED TO THE OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES PYEONGCHANG 2018 TO BE PART OF THE OLYMPIC ART PROJECT, AN INITIATIVE OF THE INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE (IOC). OLYMPIANS USED THEIR TALENTS TO SHARE A DIFFERENT VIEW ON THE GAMES THROUGH THE FILM OLYMPIC DREAMS AND A ONE-OF-A-KIND PAINTING.
One of the franchising community’s top leaders has a first-hand view of the “drive to win” needed to succeed at the Olympic Games. Any Lab Test Now CEO Clarissa Bradstock’s husband is Roald Bradstock, an Olympic athlete in the javelin and award-winning artist. The multi-talented couple just returned to the U.S. from the 2018 Winter Games in South Korea.
Olympians are invited to help bring the Olympic values to life through art in the Olympic Village at PyeongChang 2018. Competing athletes are being asked to join Alexi Pappas(athletics, Greece), Roald Bradstock (javelin, Great Britain), Lanny Barnes (biathlon, USA) and Jean-Blaise Evequoz (fencing, Switzerland) who are the Olympian artists-in-residence at the XXIII Olympic Winter Games.

The PyeongChang Olympic Plaza provides the chance to not only see Winter Olympians receive their hard-won medals, but also enjoy a spectacular calendar of artistic and musical performances before and after the medal ceremonies.
